Can I pay for my trip with an invoice?
Yes, SJ Invoice is offered for purchases on sj.se, SJ's app and for purchases over the chat or phone.
If you are 18 years old, a private customer and have a Mobile BankID, you can choose to pay for your booking with an invoice. No additional invoice fee is added.
The invoice is sent to you via the email you enter in the booking with a payment period of 14 days. If you can't find the invoice in your inbox, the email with the invoice may have ended up in the spam folder. The sender is noreply@faktura.sj.se.
Advantages of paying by invoice:
- Collective access to all SJ invoices via minafakturor.sj.se
- Option to choose installments of 3, 6 and 12 months for amounts of SEK 500 or more.
- Option to advance the last payment date by 10 days, no extra cost.
What happens if my trip is delayed?
You pay the invoice just as usual and then apply for compensation for the delay. If you are entitled to compensation, it will be paid to you afterwards.
Do I have to pay the invoice if I can't travel?
Yes, regardless of the flexibility you chose on your ticket, you need to pay the invoice. Read more about our various flexibilities here.
