Does SJ have any discount for children?
SJ offers a children’s discount in 2nd class on all of our trains.
Adults, seniors, students and youths travelling with two children 15 years or younger only pay the following amount for each child:
- SJ Regional: SEK 5.
- SJ High-speed train and SJ InterCity: 15 % of the adult ticket price.
- SJ Night train: 50 % of the adult ticket price.
Children travelling alone pay the regular youth ticket price.
You may bring children 0-1 years old for free both in 1 and 2 class if the child sits in your lap during the journey. When travelling with night trains children up to 6 years old may share a bed with another traveller.
