Can I change my seat on the train?

If you travel with SJ High-speed train, you can change your seat via sj.se.

To change your seat you start by download your ticket via Journeys.

1. When you have opened your trip, click on Show journey and then select Change seat.

2. Select the desired Seat feature and mark the seat(s) you want to change to. Then click Save.

Change seats on SJ's other trains
You can change your seat after you have booked, if there is only 1 traveler and if the ticket is booked via our app or sj.se

To change seats, you need to contact our customer service. We check whether there is an opportunity to change seats within the comfort/class you have booked.

When is it not possible to change seats afterwards?

  • Journeys with other train companies than SJ
  • Private compartment on SJ Night Train
  • It is not possible to change seats if there are 2 or more travelers
